Stephen G. King is a dog behaviour specialist, a qualified Agility instructor and has a Diploma in animal psychology.
He is also a founding member of the Association Pet Dog Trainers, whose code of practice allows only Kind, Fair and Force-free methods of training.

Stephen is a leading light in the use of operant conditiong (positive reward training) and has lectured to students from all over the UK and abroad including members of the Armed Forces and Police Forces. Stephen’s experience also includes visiting Holland, Belgium and Germany for his Clicker Workshops.
Stephen is also an author and a video producer. His two videos, Clicker Train Your Dog and Your Puppy’s Early Learning have been the top two videos sold in the UK in the last three years. Stephen has also co-authored with Claire L. Davies MA the follow up, Ready, Steady, Click! WORKBOOK 2002 The workbook has been designed to fully integrate the theory with practical applications. Or to put it simply, “Put into practice what you have learnt in theory”.

Stephen also writes for the UK and American dog press and has also been a guest speaker on radio and TV, talking about solving problem behaviours.
Stephen is was also until recently a member of the tutoring staff at the Animal Care College based in Ascot, Berkshire. The college offers Open Learning Courses through the City and Guilds of London and the British Association of Correspondence colleges.
